Financial Miracles Still Happen : Seek And You Will Find

"Are you in need of a financial miracle?" I knew I had to write this when this call for prayer is made because this miracle happens to me. The typical verse quote is about Ask, Seek and Knock from Matthew 7, but I don't buy it when it comes to "miracle" as a result of shouting out loud to people what they want. If someone calls you ten times a day for donation, would you not give?  

By wisdom, a house is built, with understanding its established and thru knowledge its room is filled with rare and precious things. 

Some people are naturally wise, but how could we get wisdom if we are not born wise or have the opportunity to learn? 

The bible says - If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach and it will be given him. - James 1:5 

Finance is not something that my parents handle well. In fact, they were so unprepared that I and my siblings were this close to being a school drop out after high school. But God has His plans installed for us, and it came by not by scholarship or donation so that I can't boost like it was man's doing.

If I were to write the miracles (like petrol tank miraculously refilled, walk out of car crash unharmed) and healing (that I don't need to undergo a spine surgery) that He has done for me, my fingers would sores before this post is complete.

When the church needed funds, a student who gave all her allowance found cash bills appeared in her bible. Literally appear, how often doesn't that happens?

I admit I fall short of His standard. I too, once wanted to get rich and quick, but God gives me the amount that I could handle at the right time. In return, I learnt how rich God is and how generous is He towards us. He taught me to live in abundance, which is better than being rich. Such miracles still happens to me and people around me.

Why do some believers still struggle? I think it's because is many of us are eager to get rich, but being rich blind us from our Father in heaven. Luke 12:15 warns us to watch out and be on guard against all kinds of greed; a man's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.

The proper attitude towards the use of our possessions is knowing that we are merely stewards of that which is God's and we ought to be generous, ready to share in good deeds. 

There's a great deal of scriptures that are related to finance, here are my favorite

Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. - Malachi 3:10

But he who hates bribe will live. -proverbs 15:27b NKJV 

Whenever you struggle, ask for wisdom. Have a generous heart, generous minds and generous hands. 

And a final word for someone who needs a faith lift

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7
